Sanctuary/Special Needs Rabbits

Some rabbits have been deemed “sanctuary rabbits” because of medical issues and or advanced age. However, it may be possible for them to be adopted. Your donations enable us to continue to care for them. If you are interested in giving a special needs rabbit a permanent home, contact us at information@longislandrabbitrescue.org

Sanctuary rabbits need your help

We are appealing to you tonight on behalf of Midge and Rocco, who need your good wishes, prayers, love & light, and, yes, your monetary donations for their medical treatment.

100% of money donated goes directly to the rabbits. Always.

Rocco

Rocco had a Rocky start. Unbeknownst to his original owner he was born with a digestive disorder called megacolon or “cow poop syndrome”. Long Island Rabbit Rescue took him in upon hearing he hadn’t eaten in 6 days which would typically be a deadly situation, however, Rocco pulled through, as he must have done many times during his 5 year old life.
