FRANKIE
A friend of LIRRG rescued Frankie from a miserable and neglectful life, living in squalor. We groomed tons of poop-encrusted poop from her bottom, and then the vet discovered mammary tumors. She had them removed in October and is completely healed.
Although she is elderly, we felt spaying her would give her the best chance of having a happy and hopefully cancer-free rest of her days, but to our surprise, discovered she was already spayed! Frankie quickly became very comfortable and happy in her foster home. She is so affectionate and needy for pats and cuddles, that her foster mom lovingly describes it as being “borderline pathetic!” We just hope she stays healthy enough to enjoy her retirement with us a while longer.
