One of the scariest words a rabbit family can hear…Bloat.
Earlier this week, Puddle, who has been in our foster care since 2018, wasn’t acting like herself and didn’t finish her breakfast.
A volunteer jumped into action to check Puddle’s temperature and alertness at her foster home. Her temperature was a dangerously-low 96*
Another volunteer rushed Puddle to a rabbit-savvy veterinarian. Immediate action saves lives…
Upon arriving at the hospital, the doctor diagnosed Puddle with bloat and began treatment. Bloat is a mysterious and scary condition. Thankfully, Puddle responded quickly to the treatment and is doing well.
She was able to go back to her foster home after three days in the hospital. She’ll need extra special care and monitoring until she’s fully recovered. Let’s rally around Puddle’s healing!
We are asking for donations to help cover Puddle’s hospital bills– every dollar helps!
